Understanding Glasses Measurements

Every pair of glasses has three numbers printed on inside leg.

The format is ## â–¡ ## - ### (for example: 56 â–¡ 18 - 150)

These numbers represent the frame's key measurements in millimeters:

  1. Lens Width: 56 mm
  2. Bridge Width: 18 mm
  3. Temple Length: 150 mm

What do each of these numbers mean?

    1. Lens Width: 56 mm

    - What it means: This is the horizontal width of each lens at its widest point.
    - How to measure: Use a ruler to measure the widest part of the lens.
    - Why it’s important: The lens width is important for finding out the width of the frame.
    .

    2. Bridge Width: 18 mm

    - What it means: The distance between the two lenses, the part that fits your nose.
    - How to measure: Measure the distance between the innermost edges of the lenses.
    - Why it’s important: A properly sized bridge ensures that the glasses sit comfortably on your nose without slipping or pinching.
    .

    3. Temple Length: 150 mm

    - What it means: The length of the arm pieces that extend from the frame to behind your ears.
    - How to measure: Measure from the hinge to the tip that rests behind your ear.
    - Why it’s important: Temple length determines how securely the glasses stay on your face.
    .

Additional measurements that are critical to know

    4. Full Width of the Eyeglasses

    - What it means: The total horizontal measurement from outer edge to outer edge.
    - How to measure: Measure across the entire front of the glasses from one end to the other.
    - Why it’s important: The absolute full width of the frame.
    .

    5. Lens Height

    - What it means: This is the vertical height of the lens, measured at its tallest point.
    - How to measure: Measure the height from the bottom to the top edge of the lens.
    - Why it’s important: Lens height influences the proportionality of the frame to your face.

For every model, we list the sizes on the "Measurements" tab on the product page.
By understanding what these numbers mean and how to measure them, you can confidently select a pair that fits perfectly.
